The ApirPods Pro are back to $200, for example, and you can snag a giant 70-inch Roku TV for under $500. It’s little surprise that the deals Apple Watch Series 3 all quickly sold out, but keep an eye on this list as certain items have been coming back in stock.

Amazon Web Services outage now over, hit Roku, Adobe, Shipt

  • Amazon Web Services has recovered after a massive outage on Wednesday.
  • The outage only affected one of AWS’s 24 regions, its US-East-1 Region, but it took down many popular web-based services.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is back up after being down for most of Wednesday.

“We have restored all traffic to Kinesis Data Streams via all endpoints and it is now operating normally,” the company said early Thursday morning.

Scores of websites rely on the internet infrastructure to function. The outage only affected one of AWS’s 24 regions, its US-East-1 Region, but it took down many popular web-based services that utilize its servers, like Roku, Flickr, and Adobe Spark, which were among those that have reported issues. The Verge first reported the outage.

Amazon Web Services saw an outage Wednesday that caused problems for several companies. In a statement, Amazon said it was specifically having problems with its service that processes large streams of data. 

“We continue to work towards recovery of the issue affecting the Kinesis Data Streams API in the US-EAST-1 Region. We also continue to see an improvement in error rates for Kinesis and several affected services, but expect full recovery to still take up to a few hours,” the statement said. 

“The issue continues to also affect other services, or parts of these services, that utilize Kinesis Data Streams within their workflows. Amazon Web Services Outage Takes Down Major Sites Including Roku, Flickr

Amazon Web Services, the e-commerce giant’s cloud service, has been hit with an outage that has disrupted large portions of the web including platforms like Roku, Flickr and Spotify-owned podcast service Anchor, among many others.

Key Facts

Grocery delivery service Shipt, robot vaccuum cleaner Roomba and the New York City Subway have also blamed disruptions on their apps and services to the outage.

Amazon said in a status update that its services are currently impaired due to issues at its Northern Virginia based “US-EAST-1 Region” servers.

Crowdsourced data on Downdetector.com show the outage is also causing problems with Amazon’s e-commerce site and many of its services like Prime music.

The serverity of the outage has even affected Amazon Web Services’ health dashboard, preventing the company to update the current status of its servers.
