AT&T’s WarnerMedia is betting big on Wonder Woman 1984 drawing in subscribers to the HBO Max platform, releasing the film theatrically and on the streaming platform simultaneously on Dec. 25. Now, it’s ensuring that those looking to watch the sequel to the 2017 hit will be able to do so at home in 4K HDR.

On Tuesday, WarnerMedia announced that Wonder Woman 1984 will be its first title available in the higher resolution 4K format, with the film also supporting HDR10, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. Those interested in watching in 4K HDR will need a compatible TV (and sound system in the case of Atmos) as well as a “supported” device.

At the moment, the list of supported devices includes:

It’s unclear if the app will work on

The latest teardown from iFixit shows how huge the iPhone 12 Pro Max camera is

The iPhone 12 Pro Max is Apple’s biggest iPhone ever, with a 6.7-inch display that boasts a camera system our reviewer called “one of the most confident smartphone cameras.” In its latest teardown, iFixit shows how big this impressive camera actually is compared to other iPhones.

The iPhone 12 Pro Max camera is quite large

The primary wide-angle sensor “dwarfs the iPhone 12’s sensor,” iFixit says, coming in around 47 percent larger. But it has the same 12 MP resolution as the smaller model. The 12 Pro Max’s sensor-shift image stabilization system— found on most DSLR cameras— adds bulk to the large main camera, iFixit found.

The 12 Pro Max’s L-shaped battery is the largest among all current iPhone models, weighing in at 14.13Wh, compared to the 8.57Wh in the mini and the 10.78 Wh in the 12 and 12 Pro. But iFixit notes that’s actually slightly smaller than

HBO Max to stream on Amazon Fire TV, ‘Firestick’ and Fire tablets starting Tuesday

Amazon’s Fire TV Stick, sometimes referred to by customers as a “Firestick,” is one of its most popular streaming devices.

HBO Max will launch its dedicated app on Amazon’s Fire TV devices, including its popular dongle often referred to as the “Firestick,” and Fire tablets on Tuesday. The change gives HBO Max’s customers an easier way to stream the service on Amazon products, and it’s the latest development that fills in some gaps in app support on the most popular streaming devices

The deal, announced Monday, puts to rest a major standoff that’s likely crimped HBO Max since its launch in May. This leaves Roku as the last major streaming device platform lacking support for HBO’s new app, which offers extra movies, shows and originals that don’t run on its regular network.

Amazon’s Fire TV finally getting HBO Max, months after launch of new streaming service

(Amazon Photo)

Almost six months after the launch of the new HBO Max streaming service, the platform is now coming to Amazon’s Fire TV.

HBO Max will be available starting Tuesday on Fire TV streaming devices, Fire TV Edition smart TVs and Fire Tablets. Customers who have an HBO subscription through Prime Video will have access to HBO Max for no additional cost by logging into the streaming service with their Amazon credentials.

When WarnerMedia rolled out HBO Max in May with a more robust lineup of content than traditional cable HBO, Amazon’s service was noticeably absent from the range of cable providers and tech platforms signed on to host it. HBO Max was developed in part at engineering in offices in Seattle.

Customers can use Amazon Alexa to navigate to the HBO Max app by saying “Alexa, find HBO Max” with Fire TV’s included Alexa Voice Remote or a

Is HBO Max On Roku? Subscribers Demand Addition After Amazon Fire Announcement

HBO Max is joining Amazon Fire TV, but that’s not enough to satisfy subscribers. Many are hoping the announcement means HBO Max is also working on a Roku deal.

WarnerMedia announced HBO Max, which launched in May, will be available on Amazon Fire TV streaming devices, Fire TV Edition smart TVs, and Fire tablets on Tuesday. This gives millions of consumers a new way to watch the streaming service.

However, many people use Amazon Fire TV’s competitor, Roku, and they are demanding WarnerMedia bring HBO Max to the platform.

The good news is that it seems like WarnerMedia is attempting to make a deal with Roku. An HBO Max spokesperson told Business Insider that they are in discussions with Roku.

Both Roku and Amazon Fire TV are aggregators of streaming services. They are portals through which viewers can access a variety of streaming platforms, a helpful tool for those with

HBO Max Finally Coming To Amazon Fire TV Devices

AT&T/WarnerMedia’s HBO Max launched back in May, and while it’s a great streaming service, the major issue with it is that it has limited accessibility because it is not available on Roku or Amazon Fire TV devices. However, HBO Max will finally be available on Amazon devices, like the Fire Stick, this week.

Hitting devices on Tuesday, November 17, HBO Max will be available on Fire Tablets and Fire TVs, according to a press release from HBO Max. This news means 40 million more people will have access to HBO Max.

“We are very excited that Amazon customers will now be able to enjoy the best-in-class content that lives within HBO Max,” said WarnerMedia’s head of sales and distribution Tony Goncalves. “Our continued goal is to make HBO Max and its unparalleled content available to customers across all the devices they love. Fire TV is a favorite among customers and

First teardowns of iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro Max surface online [u]

As orders of the iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max begin to arrive on customer doorsteps, some early teardown videos have begun to surface.

German repair company Kaputt, for example, has released its initial teardowns of both models on YouTube, revealing few major differences but a couple of interesting tidbits about the internal design and components of the iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max.

As the teardown reveals, the iPhone 12 Pro Max retains an L-shaped battery design. That’s something Apple changed on its other iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro models, including the iPhone 12 mini.

As far as the rest of the internals, they appear to be fairly consistent with the iPhone 12 Pro, which iFixit disassembled in late October.

The iPhone 12 mini, on a similar note, shares much of its internal configuration with the iPhone 12. The major revelation in the teardown

Customers in line for iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max as first preorders arrive

Early adopters in Australia, New Zealand and parts of Asia are taking receipt of launch day iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max orders, while customers begin to line up to buy the same devices.

Apple fans are beginning to line up outside of flagship Apple Stores as sales of iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Max commence. In many areas, the turnout is not as large as Apple’s iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro launch in October, but lines are forming nonetheless due to coronavirus safety measures.

As usual, buyers are posting photos of the new handsets to Twitter, Instagram and other social media outlets. Users are also posting photos of launch day scenes at Apple Store locations in Australia, Japan and Hong Kong:

The iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max are slated to launch globally on Friday. Due to pandemic concerns, Apple is

Every fall, Apple fans dependably line up at marquee stores like Manhattan’s famed Apple Fifth Avenue Cube, spending days in folding chairs for a chance to be one of the first to get their hands on a new iPhone. But with the launch of the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro last month, and the iPhone 12 Mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max today, the situation is radically different thanks to the coronavirus pandemic. That throws into question whether people should show up at Apple stores at all.
