With the support of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the conference was jointly hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and the Shandong Provincial People’s Government. It was organized by the Shandong Province Department of Industry and Information Technology, the Yantai Municipal People’s Government, and the China Industrial Design Association.
